Kazakhstan's gasoline and diesel export ban officially came into force

According to the report of capital network on November 22, according to the order issued by the Kazakh government, Kazakhstan will implement a six-month ban on gasoline, diesel and some petroleum products exported by road transportation from November 21, 2021, which is valid until May 21, 2022.

 

According to the order, the export of gasoline, diesel and some petroleum products (light petroleum products with customs codes of Eurasian Economic Union 2709, 2710, 2902, 3403, 3811 and 3826) from Kazakhstan by road transportation will be prohibited, except lubricating oil and finished oil stored in the vehicle's own fuel tank or in a separate container with a capacity of no more than 20 liters.

 

From May 9, 2021, Kazakhstan imposed a six-month export ban on gasoline, diesel and some petroleum products (including light petroleum products) to prevent the shortage of refined oil in the domestic market. Kazakhstan imposed an export ban on refined oil containing lubricating oil from November 2019 to April 2020.
